Versace held a fashion show and party hosted by Donatella Versace and CEO Jonathan Akeroyd to celebrate the opening of its new flagship store in Hong Kong.
The fashion show featured the men and women’s Fall/Winter 2017 collections.
The two-floor boutique in Central occupies an area of 684 square meters, and is designed with traditional Italian architectural values in mind.
“I just adore the design concept of our new Hong Kong Versace boutique, which pays tribute to Italy’s cultural heritage,” said Versace.
“In fulfilling this project we have created a space in which the spirit of Versace can take flight. For me the boutique suggests an uninterrupted dialogue between our past and future, between us and our clients.”
To mark the occasion, Versace has designed a limited edition mini Palazzo Empire bag, covered in silver Swarovski crystals. The bag has a detachable leather shoulder strap and is embellished with a palladium Medusa head.
Guests at the event included Chang Chen, Jennifer Tse, Gaile Lok and Anina Ho, among others.
