Burberry has once again shown it reigns supreme when it comes to the Christmas ad campaign, with the launch of The Tale of Thomas Burberry, a video directed by an Oscar winner and starring some of Hollywood’s brightest stars.

The three-minute film stars Domhnall Gleeson as Burberry founder Thomas Burberry, Sienna Miller as Thomas’s fictional first love, Dominic West as polar explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton and Lily James as pilot Betty Dawson, a fictionalised character. It was directed by Asif Kapadia, who won an Oscar for Amy.

To celebrate the launch of the festive campaign, Burberry held an event at the brand’s Pacific Place store which was attended by over 500 guests.

The event also gave fans a glimpse of the craftsmanship behind some of the brands iconic products, such as Scottish-woven cashmere scarves, with the “Personalised for You” in-store experience.

And just in time for Christmas, the English fashion house has expanded its monogramming service for its scarves, trench coats and rucksacks, offering new additions to its personalisation options.

The monogramming service for scarves offers over 45 thread colours, portrait and landscape monogramming and the addition of a large font size for one Roman character.

Monogramming is also available for the iconic Burberry made-in-England Heritage Trench Coats, allowing customers to add up to three initials from a selection of 15 thread colours.

The rucksack for men and women can also be personalised with up to three embroidered gold letters.

The service is available in store and at www.burberry.com.
