New Tudor campaign reveals the #BornToDare spirit of the new Black Bay P01

Keeping up with the #BornToDare spirit of luxury Swiss watchmaker Tudor, the recent video released by the watch brand shows professional snowboarder Kjersti Buaas teaching David Beckham to snowboard on the Alps. They both reach the peak of a slope covered in fresh snow.

In regard to the experience, Beckham, who is the ambassador of the Swiss watch label said, “It’s a great thing to be behind, and try and learn from a world-class athlete. It’s been an incredible experience and I want to do more. What do we do next? I don’t know. It’s like we say, born to dare.”

While they both enjoy their snowboarding session, the former football player is seen sporting the Black Bay P01. This watch promises high performance with silicon balance-spring and a 70-hour power reserve. The four-time Olympian is seen wearing the Black Bay with burgundy bezel and a matching fabric strap. This watch with a vintage design highlights the efforts put into creating and perfecting the ideal watch for divers over more than six decades.

 #BornToDare

Tudor’s slogan #BornToDare emphasises on the brand’s legacy of manufacturing watches that can withstand extreme conditions to suit individuals who enjoy taking part in adventures. In a video produced earlier this year by the haute horology house, Beckham can be seen free-diving underwater.

David Beckham teams up with Kent & Curwen

1

Founded on Savile Row in 1926 by Eric Kent and Dorothy Curwen, Kent & Curwen started out supplying neck ties to universities in Oxford and Cambridge, the finest clubs in London, the country’s best schools and all of the British regiments throught the Empire.

In 1932, Kent & Curwen purchased a knitwear factory in London to create the first-ever cricket sweaters, a style that would establish their reputation around the world.

To continue the legacy of Kent & Curwen into the 21st century, the brand has teamed up with David Beckham to rework the classic hallmarks of British sporting pastimes into everyday life.

Celebrated for his style as much as his achievements on the football pitch, Beckham has collaborated with Creative Director Daniel Kearns to design a wardrobe made up of masculine pieces that are both accessible and stay true to British style.

Kent & Curwen’s classics – college stripes, cricket knits, rugby shirts – are reborn with a modern-day aesthetic.

Rugby shirts and T-shirts have a lived-in look, with the edges carefully worn. Original mother-of-pearl buttons show an eye for detail, along with subtle touches like regatta stripes under the collars and lapels.

The distinctive three lions emblem has been reimagined and appears on patches on T-shirts and rugby shirts. The rose, for centuries the national flower of England, is embroidered on the bottom hem of T-shirts, as well as appearing on the chest of stonewashed sweatshirts. And the cricket sweater has been updated in navy and ecru and is slightly oversized.

The new collection is available now.

Goldenball

Kent & Curwen, one of the UK’s most illustrious apparel brands, chose the Hong Kong Club – one of the city’s most exclusive and long-established venues – to celebrate its 90th anniversary. The event was hosted by Dr Victor Fung – chairman of the Trinity Group, K&C’s parent company – and Sabrina Fung, his daughter. Attendees were also treated to a speech highlighting the importance of partnership and teamwork by David Beckham, the international sports, fashion, style icon and newly-appointed K&C brand ambassador.
