Cerruti 1881 unveils documentary film Anima to celebrate 50th birthday

Cerruti 1881 just celebrated its 50th anniversary with a short documentary film called Anima. Directed by documentary filmmaker Karim Zeriahen, it outlines the history and the creative force of the maison through conversations between founder Nino Cerruti and CEO Jason Basmajian. Their dialogue gives us an exclusive insight into the brand’s fashion philosophy.

Through a series of connecting dances, contemporary dancer Travis Clausen Knight, showcases the elegance of the Cerruti Man.

Jason Basmajian says, “I am inspired daily by Mr. Cerruti’s wisdom and style. His approach is so relevant today. This transmission combined with my love of contemporary dance and movement seemed like a powerful way to celebrate the timeless fluid style on the 50th anniversary of the house. Karim’s artistic and sensitive approach to the project gives the project a true soul.”
