Living in Ming

Furniture was an essential part of the home during the Ming dynasty. Catch a glimpse of The Haven Collection hosted at University Museum and Art Gallery, The University of Hong Kong by Doctor Chu-Pak Lau who is an eminent cardiologist and passionate furniture collector. The exhibition will feature over seventy pieces of impressively functional wooden marvels collected over the years that are produced from ‘huanhuali’ wood (literally meaning “yellow flowering pear”). The pieces portray glimpses of daily life from The Ming Dynasty.
